  2. Hello,

I am currently studying to become an Automotive Photographer and I was wondering if I could possibly attend any events that you organise or attend to take a few pictures if possible? Obviously I would ask owners permission and I would supply you with any pictures I take. You could then use them for promotional purposes and any owners could also be supplied with the pictures taken (If they wished).

I would be grateful if you could let me know your thoughts.

    Regards

    Rob Potter

  4. My name is Chris and I am the Customer Liaison Manager with Kwik Fit

Since last year Kwik Fit have been running Car Care and Safety events alongside local councils and the road safety campaign groups attending schools and colleges and sharing our knowledge of tyre and car care.

These session have been so well received that we are now in a position to start offering the sessions at local Kwik Fit centres for other groups in the community.

Typically our sessions run for between one and a half hours to two hours after opening hours with refreshments provided and are free to attend.

Our technicians will take attendees through how to understand your tyres, measuring pressure and tread levels, spotting any other issues on the vehicle from the look of the tyre and what to look for when purchasing a new tyre so that you know you are getting the best price and service.

We then go through some under the bonnet checks to help people check and top up their oil, check their coolant levels and top up their windscreen washer fluid.

We would love to be able to offer your members something that we think is useful and important and do it in the comfort of one of our centres with fully trained and qualified technicians.

The aim is for the session to be fun and interactive and leave people feeling a lot more confident about carrying out checks and basic maintenance on their own vehicles. These checks will make peoples cars and driving experience safer and help to control the costs of motoring.

It would be great to speak to anyone on here that thinks these events might be beneficial. My contact details are below.

    Kind regards,

    Chris Burtenshaw

  5. A group of music and car enthusiasts are putting together a bid for a radio station covering a large part of Kent. We’d be playing 50s music and talking about classic cars, bikes, buses – all things transport. What do you think? Would you listen? Would you advertise if the price was right?
