    Dear Vehicle Enthusiast,
Please except my apologies for this open email. My name is Russell Sparkes an events promoter, who last August Bank Holiday ran the successful East Kent County Show at Folkestone Racecourse, which was attended by over 18,000 people and which, as you may be aware, included over 300 Classic Cars on display, of which you may well have been one of the owners.

Due to the high overheads associated with Folkestone Racecourse and racing commitments of the Course, we have been unable to re-book for the show this year.

We have, however, located a superb site in the heart of “The Weald of Kent” to hold this year’s Hawkenbury Classic Car Show on August Bank Holiday Weekend being August 28th (set up day),29th & 30th (show days) 2010, which we hope and expect will offer in the region of 600/700 fine examples of Classic Cars on display, along with an auto jumble, numerous trade stands, craft stands, food for most tastes including a B-B-Q daily (subject to weather), a Hog Roast and many more food stalls, children’s entertainment and live music by various artists, Bouncy Castles and fun for all the family plus live entertainment each night in the Hawkenbury Country Inn & Restaurant which is directly opposite the showground.

Throughout the day there will be a regular display of exhibitors in a purpose built arena, with commentary from leading collectors, exhibitors and enthusiasts.

Also a private “For Sale” ring is available for those wishing to sell.

Entry for all trade sellers is free of charge with a donation to our chosen charity of £50 for any car sold on the day only.

We welcome trade sellers of all types and 3m x 3m trade stands for peripheral sales are available at only £20 per day.

Prizes will be awarded for the Best Turnout of:-Pre 1950, Pre 1970, Pre 1980, Pre 2000, Custom Car, Kit Car, Military Vehicle, Sports Car, Camper, Tractor and others

The weekend is open to all, camping and accommodation are available, (and most importantly the pub is directly opposite the showground).

Vehicle entries open to all at £3 per vehicle per day plus £3 camping fees (if required) 3 day car pass plus camping £15 for entire weekend (up to 3 nights).

Please contact Russell Sparkes on 01622 842115 or russ@suttonvalence.co.uk for vehicle entry or club stand form or visit our website at http://www.thehawkenburyinn.webs.com for entry forms.

So, why not bring the family down for a fun filled weekend.

Public Entry will be only £2.50 per Adult, with Children & Concessions FREE

I have attached both a publicity poster, which we would appreciate you forwarding to any interested parties and an entry form for both, Club Stands or Private Display (please ensure you complete the entire form). Please complete and return to russ@suttonvalence.co.uk

Insurance: All vehicles on display must hold a VALID MOT certificate and appropriate insurance in respect of liability to members of the public must cover the vehicle, the driver and the use of the vehicle on the dates of the event. By returning the entry form the entrant warrants to the above and confirms that any vehicle driver thereof is so covered and holds the necessary driving license for the relevant class of vehicle.

Entry fees may be paid by most major debit/credit cards by calling 01622 842115 or sending a cheque no later than Friday 27th August 2010 to The Hawkenbury Inn Ltd, Hawkenbury Road, Hawkenbury TN12 0DZ. Please enclose a self address, stamped envelope for your tickets to be return in. NO ENVELOPE NO TICKETS

After the fun had by all at last year’s Bank Holiday event, we trust you will choose to join us again this August Bank Holiday at:-
The Hawkenbury Classic Car Show, Hawkenbury Road, Hawkenbury, Kent TN12 0DZ (the road between Staplehurst & Sutton Valence).

Please feel free to contact me on the number below with any queries.

    Kind Regards
