Here is a selection of photographs taken by our resident photographer (and co-founder!) Top Gear from last Sundays meet!
There were some nice sprints and the weather held so we couldn’t have asked for more!
Thanks again to everyone who turned up for the event. We are always open to suggestions for changes to the format so keep your eyes open for the next event that should be determined in the coming days!
The first Kent Car Club driving event for the year is taking place on February 27th with a start time of 10am at the Maidstone services. We are aiming to finish for a pub lunch around 1pm and everyone is invited to attend (you don’t need to be a Kent Car Club member to come along to the event!).
If you have any suggestions or wish to take part, please have a read through the event discussion thread! Please also spread the word that this is taking place.
Kent Car Club will have pride of place at the BHP Show on 2nd May 2011 at Lydden Race Circuit and it has just got better, “Free” entrance for the first 25 people who attend through the club!
Yes! Kent Car Club is going to pay for the first 25 members on the Club Stand
Four Seasons Marquee Company are going to supply and put up a large marquee the day before. As this is purposely made it will withstand any weather and we will not have to start so early in the morning. Alongside this there will be someone on hand to make and serve refreshments throughout the day so every member can enjoy the day without feeling they should participate in some of the tasks (although any help will be really appreciated!!).
There will be cash prizes for the best presented cars on the day (this applies to our stand and members only)
You decide the winner, each member attending the show will vote for the best vehicles on the KCC stand.
More details will be made public as and when we know more, in the mean time to keep up to date please follow the events build up in our forums.
We are holding a social gathering in Maidstone on October the 21st for anyone who wishes to come along. You don’t need to be a member of the club, just have a passion for vehicles.
Who knows, if you do come and meet our members you might then join up on our friendly forum anyway! For more details please check the events forum.
Members will be present from 7pm at the Malta Inn, the event will end when you decide you’ve had your fill of food and cars!
The photos from Ashford Photographers Society are now in! You can see the full set by either viewing this full article or through the Photo Galleries section of this website.
Kent Car Club would like to individually thank Gary, Phillip, Marcello, Sue, Gordon, Richard, Martin and Marjorie for coming along on the day and making this event a great success, finding a brilliant location for the scenery shown within the photos below. Voting is due to start where members of Kent Car Club will be voting on their top three pictures on our very own forum here.
So now please enjoy the photographs, we look forward to future joint events as there is a clear crossing of interests, from Kent Car Club members wanting memorable photographs of their cars and Ashford Photographers Society looking for attractive objects to take photographs of.

Sunday’s event went incredibly smoothly with a great bunch of people from both our club and also Pistonheads.com. A photo gallery is now up in the usual place too.
Our resident photographer managed to take some rebellious photos of two lovely ladies who just happened to be at the meeting point to see the convoy off for the day. Once again we’d like to thank everyone who came along for the event and please keep checking back to see what else is going on throughout the summer months.
We have yet to decide who has won the best presented prize for this event however keep watching this space as the results will be posted up later in the week!
We’re running out of names for these events now however the next club meet is going to take place on Sunday the 6th of June.

Depending on numbers we will require someone to take at least a 2nd convoy of cars if 10 or more people join up for this event. The route will be driven at a brisk pace taking in some of the best roads Kent has to offer and we hope there is a good turn out!
For more details and to keep track of the latest happenings with this even, visit our events forum.
Off the back of another successful meet yesterday evening (April 24th!), a number of photographs have now been added to the photo gallery. All cars in attendance have at least one photo taken so please take a look through. If anyone would like higher quality images please contact me on the main forum via PM (Gazz).
It looks like there is going to be a good amount of banter between members attending next weeks BHP show and the next event will be confirmed once that is out of the way.
Please keep an eye on the forum as a new area has now been opened with a few photos that were not included in the photo gallery!
With just 2 weeks to go until this event takes place, we’re all getting our cars ready in anticipation for what should be the main event to kick off the motoring season.
Our stand is in association with a variety of clubs, however if you wish to take part we ask that anyone using our stand register on our club form to keep up to date with anything that may change as we head towards the 3rd of March. The stand we have has been allocated space for up to 25 cars, 23 of which have been confirmed as being used up. We also have a few other nice surprises for the day so even if you don’t want to have a place on the club stand, feel free to come over and introduce yourself. Everyone will make you feel welcome.
The stand will have several immaculate vehicles, including the recently show-winning Mitsubishi Pajero, the unveiling of two especially impressive modified vehicles, as can be seen in the project area of our forums.
We are also welcoming people from the MR2 Owners Club, Kent Car Owners Club, Kent Car Craft and SVA Imports to come along and join in the fun while we all mingle between our respective stands.
There is simply too much to detail here that is happening on the day, so please look at the following pages for further details:
